On May 20th, The International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) hosted the CYTO 2023 conference at the Palais des Congres de Montreal in Quebec, Canada. ISAC is a community that aims to advance the knowledge, exchange, and ideas of cytometry. The conference saw over 1,090 attendees and 715 exhibitors who share a common interest in research, development, and advancement of cellular processes for commercial and research applications.
Exhibit visitors experienced the North American debut of the Countstar Castor X1 and Mira HT High-throughput Cell Analyzers. The Mira line of cell analyzers adds another member to the line-up with an innovative high-throughput model, Mira HT. The Countstar Mira HT utilizes the same familiar hardware and software from previous Mira systems but adds the capability of analyzing multi-well plates, the new 24-chamber Countstar plate, and an adaptor to analyze up to 3 Countstar slides (15 samples).
The Countstar Castor X1 is the first in the Countstar lineup to utilize the new high-resolution CMOS camera system with a 4x high NA magnification objective to screen and identify monoclonal cells. Advanced AI algorithms also assist in viral titer detection, viral plaque tests, and convergence analysis. With intelligent image recognition protocols, the Countstar Castor X1 is able to reduce 60-80% of manual analysis time. The Castor X1 is cGMP ready and complies with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
